One thing that I LOVE to cook is cakes. For me, making a cake from scratch can be better than a store bought cake. I make a chocolate cake that is super easy, from scratch and needs no frosting. You can use frosting, but I like to use powdered sugar with this one. For this recipe, I just throw all the ingredients in one bowl and mix. This is a super yummy cake that goes really FAST at my house.

Easy Chocolate Cake Recipe
Servings 1 cake
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup semi-sweet mini morsel chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 cup butter - melted or at room temperature
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
Instructions

In a bowl, add all ingredients and stir until well blended.

Pour batter in 13x9 non-stick baking dish or dish sprayed with cooking spray.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or until toothpick comes out center of cake clean.

Allow to cool a few minutes then dust top with powdered sugar.

I”m guessing the powdered sugar is for the top and not part of the batter.
