Since the weather has been a little cooler this past week I have been using the oven. I love lemon so I decided to make a lemon cake with just a few ingredients. This lemon cake was soft and moist like angel food cake, but flavored with lemon!
For those that like to make easy and simple desserts, below is a recipe for an Easy Lemon Cake. Beware though, this cake is addicting and you probably won’t be able to eat just one piece.

Easy Lemon Cake Recipe
Ingredients
- I box of Angel Food Cake
- 1 can of Duncan Hines Lemon Creme pie filling
- 1/3 cup of milk
Instructions
-
In a bowl, combine angel food cake, lemon creme and milk. Stir well.
-
Pour batter into 13x9 baking dish.
-
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
-
Cool, serve and enjoy.
You might want to sprinkle some powdered sugar on the top too!
This sounds super delicious. I love angel food cake and I bet the lemon just adds that extra zip! I like recipes like this that are super easy too.
does it have to be angel food cake? Or can I
use a box of yellow cake mix?
Great recipe to have on hand when those unexpected guests stop by!
Oh that is insanely easy, and would be great to make for a potluck! Thanks for sharing.
Looks delicious! Thank you for the recipe
That cake looks crazy moist. I’m not huge into lemon flavor but would definitely try this with another pie filling flavor. I wonder if the apple would work if I pureed it.
Oh my gosh! How easy! I wonder if this would work with a gluten free cake mix!
